Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players have got the perfect way to combat “pay to win” skins as they’re back on the rise with The Terminator’s T-800.

As Call of Duty has delved deeper into the cosmetics and microtrsactions side of things over the last few years, fans have routinely complained about “pay to win” items. Oh, and sometimes “pay to lose” ones too.

Skins and weapon blueprints are not supposed to offer a competitive advantage in any way, but they do, at times. Some of the most infamous examples include the Mac-10 Gallantry blueprint, the Groot skin, and Roze operator skin, but there is a new one to add to that – the T-800 Terminator skin.

Added in Season 2 of Black Ops 6, players have claimed that the skin is impossible to see at times, giving the person using the T-800 an almighty advantage.

Disable skins option is perfect for COD

In a bid to combat the skin, players have called for a nerf. They want it to follow the Groot skin in being made more visible.

“They made old Terminator in a way that helps decent gameplay. But this time they actually gone for pay to win option. Don’t know where this going to end,” one player said. However, there is also another idea being floated.

DETONATED suggested that COD should have an in-game option that allows you to turn off seeing cosmetics on your screen, setting everyone to a default skin.

That idea was quickly proven to be a popular one. “With the direction COD has been going with their bundles recently I’d unironically prefer a way to hide other people’s skins. It’s just far too much at this point,” BobNetwork added.

“I would pay for this,” another supporter said. “100% if I wanted Fortnite costumes, I would play Fortnite,” commented another.

The obvious downside to adding this would be that cosmetic sales would take a hit, but it would also be the perfect middle ground for both sides.
